His departure comes less than six months after longtime anchor Giuliana Rancic left.

E! News is losing another familiar face.

Co-anchor Terrence Jenkins is leaving the nightly program after more than three years, E! announced Tuesday.

Jenkins is bidding farewell to focus on acting and producing full-time. His last day will be Wednesday.

"I started hosting when I was 16 years old back in North Carolina, and I've been now on national television for over 10 years," he said Tuesday on E! News. "Seventeen years, that's a long time, and I think in order for someone to grow it's important that you try new things and you create new challenges, create new dreams for yourself."

The announcement comes weeks ahead of the release of his first feature film, The Perfect Match, which will be released early in the new year. His other film credits include Think Like a ManThink Like a Man Too and Baggage Claim.

Its unclear who will take Jenkins' spot but longtime correspondent Jason Kennedy seems a likely candidate. Kennedy has been with E! since 2007 and co-anchored E! News Weekend since 2012.

Jenkins' exit comes than six months after the departure of longtime co-anchor Giuliana Rancic, who left in August following controversial comments she made about Disney star Zendaya on the Oscars red carpet. Rancic continues to co-host Fashion Police for the network and Maria Menounos has since taken her place as co-anchor.
