Lindsay Lohan has responded to Jennifer Lawrence making fun of her substance abuse issues on Monday’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” saying the Oscar-winning actress should act more like Maya Angelou.

As Gossip Cop reported, Lawrence spoke about how working grueling hours often causes her to vomit. “I’m a big-time puker,” she joked, adding, “I get Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol.”

Lawrence’s snipe didn’t sit well with Lohan’s sister, Ali, who tweeted shortly after the interview aired, “I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.”

Lohan later retweeted her younger sibling’s comment, along with the response, “Thank you sister.. Maybe who you’re referring to should learn to support others like #mayaangelou.” Angelou, of course, was a famous poet and civil rights activist.

Lohan also included a verse from one of Angelou’s poems to go along with her response. It reads, “You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes. You may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I’ll rise.”
