Jordan Smith moved one step closer to becoming the winner of “The Voice” with his performances on the season 9 finale on Monday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, the Team Adam contestant has been the frontrunner since his blind audition sparked a four-chair turn-around. Since then, week in and week out, he has consistently delivered showstopping performances. And now he had three more of them in hopes of winning viewers’ votes one last time.
Smith was the first finalist to take the stage, and he began with his solo performance of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” an inspirational song from The Sound of Music. And not surprisingly, he received a standing ovation from all the coaches. Blake Shelton even admitted, “When you come to us after Jordan performs, there’s nothing left to say anymore.”
That was followed by Smith and Levine’s duet performance of the Beach Boys hit “God Only Knows.” Lastly, the aspiring star sang the Christmas classic “Mary, Did You Know?” And again Smith received a standing ovation from the whole panel, the only finalist to earn two.
Pharrell told Smith afterward, “I think the people are just ready for you to make a record.” Check out the videos below! TELL US: Do you think Smith will be named the winner on Tuesday night?
