Is he or isn't he? The first Games of Thrones Season 6 trailer centers on Jon Snow (Kit Harington), as rampant speculation continues among fans that the beloved character isn’t actually dead.
The HBO drama's spot doesn’t include any new scenes, instead showing tense footage from the Season 5 finale, of Snow appearing to perish after he was stabbed numerous times by his brothers of the Night's Watch.
TV's Most Shocking Deaths
“The past is already written — the ink is dry,” a mystery voice says in the trailer.
After the image of Snow lying in a pool of blood, the voice of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) is heard over black.
"They have no idea what’s going to happen," Bran says.
The trailer doesn’t do much to allay the fears of devastated Game of Thrones viewers, who had reason to believe that their prayers may have been answered when a Season 6 poster released in November featured Snow's bloody face, hinting at his return.

However, Harington spoke to IGN in an interview published last month and appeared to confirm that his character has in fact gone on to a better place.
“It's just a different catchphrase on the street," Harington, 28, said with regard to fans asking him about the series. "Rather than 'You know nothing,' it's 'Are you dead?' And I am most definitely dead, so it's a simple one to answer, really."
Game of Thrones returns in April on HBO.
