The Meltdown is coming back for more.

Comedy Central has renewed the stand-up series hosted by Silicon Valley star Kumail Nanjiani and Jonah Ray for a third season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The show will return with eight episodes in 2016.

Filmed documentary style at the Nerdist Showroom in the back of Los Angeles' Meltdown Comics, The Meltdown features celebrity guests as they experiment with new bits on stage and hang out backstage. Season two included appearances by Fred Armisen, Chelsea Peretti, John Mulaney, Abbi Jacobson, Hannibal Buress, Ilana Glazer, Andy Daly, Natasha Leggero, Ron Runches, Paul Scheer, among others.

The show is exec produced by Ray, Nanjiani, live show producer (and Nanjiani's wife) Emily V. Gordon, and Red Hour’s Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein.

“There continues to be no better way to experience the best, live weekly stand-up show in LA than Meltdown, Comedy Central original programming president Kent Alterman said in a statement. “Except for actually being there, of course.”

Added Ray, Nanjiani and Gordon: “Third time's a charm!"
