The giant premiere for the final installment of "The Hunger Games” movie franchise, "Mockingjay - Part 2," has been scaled down.
In light of Friday's Paris terror attacks, which claimed the lives of at least 129 people and wounded more than 350, the stars of the Jennifer Lawrence-led film (which was partially shot in France) will not do press interviews at Monday’s premiere event in Los Angeles.
"Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday’s Mockingjay 2 premiere," Lionsgate said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Sunday. "We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion."
The highly anticipated film is set to hit U.S. theaters on Friday, Nov. 20.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the Foo Fighters canceled the remainder of their European tour after the attacks.
U2 also canceled a Paris concert, while promotional events for films "Bridge of Spies" and "Jane Got a Gun" were scrapped.
