Digging in! Anthony Bourdain has traveled the world and eaten at the best restaurants, but it wasn’t until recently that he discovered the culinary delights of a Waffle House.
The best-selling author, 59, visited a Waffle House in Charleston, W.Va., along with fellow chef Sean Brock for the first time, airing on the Sunday, Nov. 15, episode of CNN’s epicurean travel series Parts Unknown.
In the clip, Brock, 37, insists he tries -- what else? -- a waffle. The TV personality, however, is hesitant at first.

“I don’t want waffles at a Waffle House,” Bourdain replies.
“Bull----,” Brock says back to him. “You have to have pecan waffles.”
And suddenly, the No Reservations author changes his tune as he takes his first bite of the delicious breakfast item slathered in butter and drenched in maple syrup, his culinary world altered forever.
“Whoa, that’s good, that’s good,” Bourdain admits.
“You don’t come here expecting The French Laundry,” Brock says, referring to Chef Thomas Keller’s restaurant that Bourdain is known to love, and has featured previously on his show.
“No, this is better than The French Laundry!” Bourdain exclaims.
Tune in on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 9pm ET.
