Justin Bieber will perform at the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City on November 26, it was announced on Thursday. The performance will air live on CBS as part of the network’s annual holiday broadcast.
Bieber joins other musical acts including the casts of Broadway’s Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The TV special will be hosted by “Entertainment Tonight” anchor Kevin Frazier and is set to feature appearances by Wayne Brady and George Takei, among others. This marks the 55th year that CBS will broadcast the annual parade.
The show will also include highlights from the 89th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade is famous for its enormous balloons of cartoon characters soaring above New York City, extravagant floats and routines by marching bands from across the country.
As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber’s new album, Purpose, will be released on Friday. The pop star will presumably be performing many of his new songs at the parade, however the set list has yet to be announced.
The Thanksgiving Day parade will be broadcast live from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on CBS. Tell Gossip Cop what you think about Bieber headlining the event.
