John Rich BLASTED Justin Bieber during a Big & Rich concert in Charlotte on Wednesday. See video below.
The duo was participating in 96.9 The Kat’s Kat Band Jam show at a saloon and dance hall called Bootleggers. The event had multiple acts on the bill, and served as a fundraiser for St. Jude’s. In honor of Veteran’s Day, some service members were welcomed on stage.
And that’s when Rich brought up Bieber out of nowhere. Nodding to a young Marine on stage, the country star said, “I know all the girls are thinking it, but this is like the man version of Justin Bieber right here. The man version!”
“Like if Justin Bieber actually did [expletive] for people, this is what it would be like right here,” continued Rich as the crowd cheered. “Am I right?” Then, asking to be videotaped, he delivered a message to Bieber, warning him to “straighten up” because “there’s young men that could kick your ass all over this country.”
It’s not clear if Rich and Bieber have had any unpleasant interaction in the past, or if the “Celebrity Apprentice” was just basing his comments based on his perception of the singer. While certainly not the same thing as serving in the Marines, it’s worth noting that Bieber regularly participates in charity events and has granted more Make-A-Wish wishes than any other artist in the foundation’s history.

Big & Rich brought two people up on stage tonight – active Marine Anthony and a Vietnam Vet Dean. It’s amazing how the generations cross. They also said the brave young Marine is the “man version of Justin Bieber because he actually does sh** for people!” LOL
