Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are NOT making “secret phone calls” to each other, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this rumor. We’re told it’s simply “not true.”
According to Star, the ex-couple are now back on speaking terms after Gyllenhaal called Swift to apologize for the way their relationship ended. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “In June, Jake ran into Cara [Delevingne] at the ‘Graham Norton Show’ and asked for Taylor’s new number.”
The magazine’s alleged “insider” adds, “Taylor really appreciated that Jake reached out… They’ve kept in touch, albeit secretly, ever since.” The tabloid further claims that during these supposedly “secret” conversations, Gyllenhaal hinted he wanted Swift back, and she’s considering it despite currently dating Calvin Harris.
Apparently, these Swift and Gyllenhaal calls are so “secret,” not even they know about them. A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and Swift’s assures us there are no conversations happening between the two. We’re exclusively told the tabloid’s rumor is “not true.”
Of course, Gossip Cop isn’t surprised that Star is trying to push this narrative. We recently corrected the tabloid’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for alleging that Gyllenhaal was attempting to steal back Swift from Harris.
