Caitlyn Jenner is NOT taking a “massive pay cut” for season 2 of “I Am Cait,” despite a new report from one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. We’re told the story is entirely “false.”

The allegation can be found in the new issue of Life & Style, which claims Jenner “had to beg the suits at E!” to renew her docu-series. A so-called “source” alleges to the magazine, “They agreed to renew the show, but only on the condition that Caitlyn take a massive pay cut.” Following “lots of negotiations,” it’s said “Caitlyn finally agreed, but she did manage to keep her expense allowance.”

“The producers worked that out because they love Caitlyn,” says the Life & Style tipster, who adds that “they want to keep her happy because they want her to appear on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.'” Meanwhile, Jenner supposedly “balked at first,” but the outlet’s alleged snitch says “she agreed to the pay cut because she’s desperate to stay relevant.”

That’s funny, because “desperate to stay relevant” is a phrase Gossip Cop would use to describe Life & Style. Again and again the tabloid takes a current hot topic, in this case the renewal of “I Am Cait,” and adds a sensational twist that no one else has reported or confirmed. And this one doesn’t even make sense, since it’s first claimed that the show was only renewed because Jenner took a pay cut, but then claimed it was also brought back to keep her “happy” and in the “KUWTK” fold.

Jenner’s show is returning because it warranted a renewal, period. And generally television salaries stay the same or increase, not decrease, for subsequent seasons. And notice how the magazine doesn’t even bother throwing out a dollar figure to back up its claims? In any case, a rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the “massive pay cut” allegation is “100 percent false.”
