The ABC drama falls to just a 0.4 rating in the key demo — the lowest of any Big Four scripted series this season.
Buoyed by a live episode of The Voice, Chicago Fire logged its highest-rated episode since March — as its time slot competition, ABC's Wicked City, hit a new low.
Chicago Fire, just below CBS' NCIS as the night's top scripted performer, averaged a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49 on NBC. That's a three-tenths of a point improvement from the previous week, airing after a 2.8-rated episode of The Voice. The duo gave NBC an easy win for the night. As for CBS, NCIS' steady 2.2 rating among adults 18-49 was followed by a slightly dipping NCIS: New Orleans (1.7 adults) and an even Limitless (1.5 adults).
ABC saw minor drops for The Muppets (1.2 adults) and Fresh Off the Boat (1.3 adults), each off two-tenths of a point from the previous episodes, but Agents of SHIELD held steady with a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49.
But the writing is on the wall for Wicked City. The struggling drama fell three-tenths of a point to a miserable 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 — averaging just fewer than 1.7 million viewers. That's easily a low for a Big Four scripted series this season. In a thus far-cancelation free TV season, Wicked City is on especially thin ice.
On Fox, Grandfathered (1.0 adults), The Grinder (0.8 adults) and Scream Queens (0.9 adults) were in the same boat as last week. And, on the CW, The Flash (1.5 adults) and iZombie (0.6 adults) were dead even.
