Tamar Braxton Leaves ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Due To Blood Clots In Lungs

A health scare has dashed Tamar Braxton's hopes of winning "Dancing with the Stars," as the singer has left the competition early.

"With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem," she captioned an Instagram shot of herself in a hospital bed hooked up to an IV with partner Val Chmerkovskiy by her side.

"After yesterday's final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn't want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don't have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.'s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs)," she continued.

During Monday's "DWTS," the singer spent part of the show in the ER, but was able to make an appearance for the show's group dance towards the end of the broadcast.

"As you all know I will be the first to always encourage anyone to push through any obstacle that comes along one's way. But in this case, my health is my current obstacle," Tamar wrote, and then thanked Val.

"Big hugs and kisses to my boo @iamvalc for being beyond a friend, brother and the BEST partner EVER," she added.

The singer is the second contestant to exit this season early due to health scares. Earlier in the season, Bravo star Kim Zolciak left due to a hospitalization for a mini stroke.
