Khloe Kardashian is thanking fans after her first book signing for Strong Looks Better Naked. See video below.
The event marked Kardashian’s first official appearance since Lamar Odom’s hospitalization. As Gossip Cop reported, she initially canceled her book tour following his medical emergency, but announced last week that she would do local signings so she would not have to leave Los Angeles, where he remains hospitalized. On Monday night, hundreds of fans showed up to the Barnes and Noble at The Grove for their chance to meet Kardashian, take photos, and get books signed.
After all went well, Kardashian tweeted, “I can’t even begin to say thank you!!!!!! I love you all so deeply and I’m so blessed to have you in my life!!!!” She added in a second message, “Lol my face literally hurts from smiling too much. Ha.”
Kardashian spoke with a few media outlets at the signing, and acknowledged that her book’s release was “bad timing” with Odom’s health crisis. “I pushed back the press for the book as much as I could, and I’m really grateful for everyone understanding that,” she said. “As great as this book is, it’s just bad timing for me right now. It’s even hard for me to feel comfortable sitting here.”
The reality star continued, “I don’t feel guilty that I should be elsewhere right now, but I have to be here contractually, so I’m here.” Kardashian went on to say that Odom’s situation is the bigger priority, and she’s trying to be “sensitive” to the situation.
