'Heroes Reborn' gets a nice boost on NBC, nearly matching 'The Blacklist.'
With Thursday Night Football shuffled off to the NFL Network for the remainder of the season, CBS returned to its slightly tweaked scripted block.
At 8 p.m., The Big Bang Theory led the network (and the night) with a 3.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 15 million viewers. That's down from its most recent Monday showing, which nabbed a 4.4 rating in the key demo and 16.3 million viewers. Life in Pieces was lifted in the move, rising to a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 before the season premiere of Mom (2.0 adults). The latter, losing its Big Bang Theory lead-in, was even with its season finale but off from last year's premiere.
Elementary was in better shape with its return. Despite its encore lead-in, the drama rose three-tenths of a point in the key demo to a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers. (All CBS scores, however, are subject to some adjustment on account of affiliates in Cleveland and Cincinnati carrying the NFL game.)
ABC's trio of Shonda Rhimes-produced dramas were all steady with last week's episodes, starting with Grey's Anatomy (2.3 adults) and continuing through Scandal (2.3 adults) and into How to Get Away With Murder (1.9 adults). As of Fast National returns, ABC and CBS tied in the demo for the night.
Heroes Reborn got a boost at 8 o'clock, rising three-tenths of a point from its latest episode to a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. The Blacklist (1.4 adults) and The Player (0.7 adults) saw no such movement,
Sleepy Hollow did not maintain much of its crossover momentum from the prior week, slipping three-tenths of a point on Fox to a 0.9 rating in the key demo after a steady Bones (1.2 adults). The Vampire Diaries and The Originals were steady on the CW with a respective 0.6 and 0.4 rating among adults 18-49.
