Last Man on Earth duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller are continuing their massive development season.

The duo is teaming with Dirty Grandpa writer John Phillips to develop a workplace comedy for NBC, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The untitled comedy, which has landed at the network with a script plus small penalty, revolves around a brother and sister duo, desperate to pay off their student loans and start their "real" lives, who illegally use their access to law enforcement information at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office to start a private detective agency right under the noses of their bosses and solve the cases that fall in between the cracks.

Phillips will pen the script and executive produce the 20th Century Fox Television entry. Studio-based Lord and Miller as well as Seth Cohen will executive produce.

Lord, Miller and Phillips are all repped by UTA. Phillips is additionally repped by Underground.

This marks Lord and Miller's latest sale this development season. In addition to setting up This American Life podcast Serial for TV with Fox 21, the duo also have a reboot of Greatest American Hero set up at Fox, time-travel entry In Time, also at Fox. Additionally, they have live-action/animated hybrid comedy Son of Zorn starring Jason Sudeikis in the mix for a series pickup at Fox.

Lord and Miller's Fox comedy Last Man on Earth has inspired a wave of high-concept comedies this development season as broadcasters look to to find their version of the Will Forte series.
