Jimmy Kimmel, Robin Thicke And More Stars Sing College Football Themed New Year’s Eve Song (VIDEO)

Jimmy Kimmel, Robin Thicke and more celebrities gathered together to sing a special New Year’s Eve song in honor of the College Football Playoff Semifinals, which air on December 31. ESPN has just released the star-studded promo for the upcoming first-ever event. Watch below!

The commercial is set to debut during “Monday Night Football,” but you can watch it first a few hours earlier right here. The footage features Kimmel, Thicke, Kelly Rowland, Josh Duhamel, various professional athletes, and random team mascots all gathered together to ring in the New Year. With Thicke at the piano, the group sings a College Football-themed rendition of the New Year’s Eve tune “Auld Lang Syne,” with the lyrics geared toward the playoff game.

Additional famous faces that pop up in the promo include Tracee Ellis Ross and Ken Jeong, New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie, Arizona Cardinals linebacker Dwight Freeney, and Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young.

This marks the first-ever time that the College Football Playoff Semifinals will take place on New Year’s Eve, and the hope is that it will kick off a new tradition. Other sporting events that take place on major national holidays include the NFL’s Thanksgiving games and the NBA’s Christmas games.
