Lamar Odom did NOT leave a suicide note before overdosing on drugs at a Nevada brothel earlier this month, despite a malicious new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this rumor. We’re told it’s “fabricated.”

According to the National Enquirer, not only did the former NBA star purposely try to kill himself, but he allegedly wrote a letter “blaming the Kardashians for his downward spiral.” A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Lamar was always full of life, but… He felt used and exploited by the Kardashians. He realized the deep hurt they can cause knows absolutely no bounds.”

The questionable “insider” also claims that what ultimately drove Odom over the edge was a recent episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” in which his name was mentioned in a less-than-positive light. “When that show aired, he plunged into the depths of despair,” the alleged source says.

Gossip Cop is told by a source close to the situation that Odom’s overdose was entirely accidental, and the tabloid’s report of a suicide note being found is “fabricated.” Of course, we’re not surprised that the Enquirer would make up such a mean-spirited claim. This is the same outlet that Gossip Cop called out for shamefully publishing photos of Odom passed out at the brothel at the time of his overdose.
