Khloe Kardashian is still dating James Harden, despite calling off her divorce from Lamar Odom.
As Gossip Cop has reported, multiple outlets claimed Kardashian and Harden had put their relationship on hold in the wake of Odom’s hospitalization earlier this month. And then when she withdrew her divorce papers last week, it was widely speculated that her romance with Harden was over and she intended to give her marriage with Odom another shot. But the reality star is now saying that’s not the case.
In her new People cover story, Kardashian confirms Harden is still her boyfriend, saying, “James has been very supportive and awesome. He’s been great with me.” That said, she acknowledges their future together is up in the air. “His season is starting,” she says, referring to his NBA career. “And I’m just allowing everything to unfold. If it’s ever too overwhelming [for him], then I understand that as well.”
As Gossip Cop noted earlier, Kardashian further explains to the magazine that putting the brakes on her divorce from Odom was not a sign that they’re reconciling romantically. “I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it. For medical decisions and a ton of other things, it’s just smarter that it’s put on hold,” she says.
Kardashian adds, “But that doesn’t mean I’m back with Lamar. There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now.”
As previously noted, Kardashian’s interview with People was initially conducted before Odom’s health crisis began, and was done in support of her upcoming book. But following his medical emergency, she participated in a follow-up conversation that addressed these ongoing issues. After the magazine began releasing excerpts Wednesday morning, Kardashian was slammed on social media for speaking out about the situation, leading her to defend herself with a Twitter rant, as Gossip Cop reported.
