Matthew Broderick: Sarah Jessica Parker Gets Annoyed With “Everything” I Do Around House

SJP knows best! Broadway and film star Matthew Broderick appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, Oct. 27, to promote his new show Sylvia, in which his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, previously originated the role of Sylvia the dog.

Noting the Sex and the City star’s past playing a female dog, one caller asked Broderick, 53, “What’s the bitchiest thing about her?”

The loyal husband replied, “She’s very unbitchy. She’s pretty level-headed and kind.”

But when asked what he does around the house that annoys his wife, the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star quipped, “Everything.”

He later clarified, “Anytime I talk about my wife, I want to make it like the battle-ax, and I always do that bit, but it’s not true. She’s a very positive person.”

Another caller asked why Parker, 50, always brought WWHL host Andy Cohen as her date to the Met Ball instead of her husband. Cohen — SJP’s BFF — then asked if Broderick even wanted to attend the high-fashion event, which takes place in the spring.

“You know, I kind of do,” he said, laughing, before recalling his reason for missing the gala in 2015. “I think it was because I had a show. It didn’t seem right to just not show up at the theater and say, ‘I’m at the Met Ball.’ But then I read that there’s trouble in our relationship. But I was at my own show, in my defense.”
