Caitlyn Jenner turns 66 on Wednesday, and to celebrate her birthday, Gossip Cop is looking back at five really wrong rumors about the reality star that we exclusively “blew out” over the past year.
Last month, Gossip Cop debunked a Star cover story that alleged Caitlyn was “at war” with Ellen DeGeneres following her appearance on the comedian’s talk show during which she expressed hesitation about supporting gay marriage. According to the tabloid, DeGeneres “blew up” on Caitlyn once the cameras stopped rolling. Gossip Cop checked in with an “Ellen” production insider, and we were exclusively told the entire account was “really untrue.” There is no ongoing “war,” and the alleged backstage drama never happened.
In August, Gossip Cop busted a fabricated In Touch report claiming Caitlyn and ex-wife Kris Jenner had concocted a plan to get remarried for a TV wedding in an effort to stir up publicity. Caitlyn’s rep exclusively told Gossip Cop the report was completely laughable and 100 percent not true.
This past July, Gossip Cop corrected an absurd claim by MediaTakeOut that Caitlyn was “going back to being Bruce again.” According to the webloid, her transition from male to female was supposedly nothing more than a “publicity stunt.” Of course, the report was completely false, and a Jenner source told us exclusively the rumor was “beyond ridiculous.”
Also in July, RadarOnline made up a story about Caitlyn backing out of a deal to appear on “Dancing with the Stars.” Gossip Cop exclusively busted the inaccurate report after her spokesperson assured us, “There was no deal from which to bail,” and there was also “no conversation” about joining the show.
And finally, Gossip Cop exclusively debunked a sensationalized Star cover story alleging that Caitlyn was dating her transgender friend Candis Cayne. Gossip Cop exclusively learned that the tabloid’s insinuations of a secret relationship between the two were absolutely untrue. A legitimate insider cracked to us, “It’s wishful thinking on [Star’s] part.”
