Shondaland is reteaming with three stars from Scandal.

Scandal stars Kerry Washington, Katie Lowes and her husband, Adam Shapiro, are teaming with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers' production company to develop an hourlong nanny dramedy.

The untitled drama is described as an edgy and comedic upstairs-downstairs look at the insanity of modern child-rearing focuses on a clique of young nannies, a trio of interconnected families and their various support staffs, all trying to help the kids grow up when they haven't quite grown up themselves.

Bess Wohl will pen the script and exec produce the ABC Studios dramedy alongside Shondaland's Rhimes, Beers, Lowes, Shapiro (who guest starred on Scandal) and Washington.

For Shondaland, the hourlong nanny dramedy marks the company's fifth sale this development season — all at ABC. The network also has picked up a script for Romeo and Juliet follow-up Still Star-Crossed;brides of Christ drama; an Army medical soap set in Baghdad from Grey's Anatomy's Zoanne Clack; and Splitsville, a divorce comedy from the creators of Trophy Wife.

The nanny project becomes the latest Shondaland project to reunite Rhimes with one of her stars. Last season Scandal star Scott Foley sold a marriage comedy to ABC with Shondaland producing. Two years ago, Shondaland teamed with Scandal Emmy winner Dan Bucatinsky to adapt his book Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight as an hourlong dramedy called Show & Tell

On the writing side, Shondaland has sophomore drama How to Get Away With Murder from creator Peter Nowalk who has roots in Shondaland, and alum Jenna Bans has ABC drama The Family due midseason. Rhimes' Shondaland next has The Catch, also due midseason, which was developed by Jennifer Schuur and now is overseen by Grey's Anatomy and Scandal veteran Allan Heinberg.

Rhimes is repped by ICM Partners; Beers is with UTA; Lowes, Shapiro and Washington are with CAA, Kathy Atkinson and attorney Gretchen Bruggeman Rush.
