Tuesday marks one year since Taylor Swift’s record-breaking album 1989 was released, and fans are taking to Twitter to celebrate.

Swifties, as the superstar’s fans are affectionately called, managed to get a number of celebratory hashtags trending, including “#HappyBirthday1989″ and “1YearOf1989.” The hashtags were accompanied by messages from fans touting the album’s success, highlighting Swift’s career milestones, and just plain gushing about the music. One person, for instance, simply tweeted, “October 27, 2014. A masterpiece was released.”

Another person pointed out, “1989 has been out for one year and is still in the top 10 on Billboard’s chart! 52 weeks and in the 9th spot! Can you say SLAY?” Others couldn’t help but marvel over all that’s gone down over the last year. “The 1989 Era: Secret sessions, swiftmas, 1989 world tour, records, surprise guests, happiness,” tweeted a different individual.

As Gossip Cop reported, 1989 is Swift’s fifth album. When it was released last year, it sold more than 1.2 million copies in its first week, the most since Eminem in 2002. The success made Swift the first-ever artist to drop three albums that sold a million copies in a single week.

And though 1989 came out so close to the end of the year, it easily became the best-selling album of 2014, and is on track to earn that title again for 2015. It also inspired Ryan Adams to recently release a 1989 cover album. Swift, meanwhile, is currently in the midst of her hugely popular “1989 World Tour,” which will run through December.

Swift hasn’t yet posted on social media about the one-year anniversary, but it’s probably just a matter of time. And the timing couldn’t be better. The one-year mark comes just one day after “Wildest Dreams” became the album’s fifth number one single. TELL US: Do you have a favorite 1989 song?

UPDATE: Along with the celebratory album cover below, Swift tweeted, “1989 came out 1 year ago today. It’s been the best year of my life. I love you guys.”
