NBC wins another Sunday, but Fox sees the most week-to-week movement — thanks to a lead-in from the Giants-Eagles game.

NBC dominated the broadcast dial with Sunday Night Football, though the weekend wrapped on a slightly lower note than the prior one. The Eagles-Panthers game, averaging a 13.6 rating among metered market households, was off 7 percent from the comparable game last Sunday.

Football was perhaps a bigger boon to Fox on Sunday night. With an incredibly strong lead-in, courtesy of the Giants-Cowboys match-up, the entire Fox block was lifted. The Simpsons benefited the most, airing right after Fox Sports' The OT, averaging 6.7 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the key demo of adults 18-49. That's a full ratings point jump from last weeks episode.

The rest of the comedy lineup was also improved, with Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2.0 adults) and Bob's Burgers (1.8 adults) each jumping eight-tenths of a point and The Last Man on Earth up four-tenths of a point to a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49.

Sunday's trio of ABC dramas was steady with last week, with the 9 p.m. hour once again dipping significantly thanks to Blood & Oil. The struggling freshman drama, which just saw its order cut from 13 to 10 episodes, averaged a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 in between steady episodes of Once Upon a Time (1.6 adults) and Quantico (1.5 adults)

CBS had some NFL overrun of its own — but not nearly as strong as Fox's. Aside from a drop for 60 Minutes, which fell from last week's football-lifted episode to a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49, the entire block of Madam Secretary (1.3 adults), The Good Wife (1.0 adults) and CSI: Cyber (0.7 adults) was steady.
