Britney Spears presented a $120,000 donation to the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation this weekend. Check out the photo at right and below!
The good deed was revealed on Monday, when Spears posted a photo of herself holding a ceremonial check while surrounded by many of the kids who will benefit from the funds. The awarding of the money actually took place on Saturday, the result of fundraising efforts with Planet Hollywood, where Spears has her “Piece Of Me” residency. “I’m so happy I’ve partnered with Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, and really enjoy raising awareness for this amazing cause,” the singer wrote on Facebook.
She continued, “Their mission is to improve the quality of life for critically ill children, and they have been doing beautiful things for so many families. I love the positive effect these guys are having on the Las Vegas community. It makes my second home a better place.”
Spears went on to thank “everyone who has been supportive of this cause.” “You all one of the reasons NCCF can do what they do,” she added.” The pop star has spent much of the last year working with the organization, and shared photos from some of her outreach events. Last month, Spears announced her residency in Vegas will continue for another two years, and Gossip Cop hears her work with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation will continue, too.
