Lamar Odom did cocaine and took unidentified pills before his medical emergency, according to police documents.

As Gossip Cop reported, the cops in Nevada’s Nye County have been investigating ever since Odom was found unconscious and unresponsive at a brothel. He remained in a coma for several days, before regaining some consciousness last Friday. Earlier this week, he was transferred to a Los Angeles hospital, where he is still in critical condition.

There were early indications that Odom had suffered an overdose, allegedly with crack cocaine and other drugs, but he was only known to have taken sexual enhancement pills. The Nye County Sheriff said in a press conference last week that they were able to get a blood sample from the former NBA star to test for illegal drugs. If positive, he could face charges.

Now TMZ has obtained the warrant in which a detective explained why they had reason to request the sample and suspect Odom of overdosing. In the sworn affidavit, it’s stated, “Through interviews with the prostitutes who were with him since that point, it was learned that he possibly ingested cocaine in the bathroom adjoining in the bedroom in which the prostitutes were located with Mr. Odom. They indicated they heard him snorting.”

The detective continues, “They indicated that they had vague knowledge of him using illegal narcotics.” Furthermore, it’s said witnesses saw Odom ingest an “unknown substance in the form of an unidentified pill, which he obtained from his pocket in a plastic bag that was unmarked.” It’s not clear if that was the sexual enhancement tablets, or another item. Love Ranch owner Denis Hof previously claimed to be unaware of any illegal drug use, saying such behavior is banned at his brothel, but said Odom had mentioned doing cocaine prior to his arrival.

The legal document also confirms previous reports that Odom was found with blood and a white substance coming from his mouth and nose. An additional interview was conducted at the hospital with the basketball player’s assistant, who acknowledged Odom’s history of using drugs and admitted he had witnessed him high. The results of the blood test are still pending, and could take several weeks.

In the meantime, it’s unclear how meaningful of a recovery Odom will have. As Gossip Cop has noted, he’s is still on dialysis for kidney failure, and could end up needing a transplant. There continues to be conflicting reports as to his improvement, specifically just how much he can speak and move. Gossip Cop will have updates.
