Ronda Rousey Appreciates Her ‘Ninja’ Body, Hopes Beauty Standards Will Change

Ronda Rousey loves her body (let's be honest, we do too – it's an inspiration).

The undefeated UFC bantamweight champ has (again) hit back at body-shamers who've dubbed her figure big/masculine.

"I've learned to appreciate all the forms it can take," the athlete told Self magazine in a cover story for their November issue. "I love feeling like I'm inhabiting the body of a ninja -- like I could rob a liquor store with my bare hands if I wanted to -- but I also like when I eat a little more, fill out and get a little bit curvier."

Adding, "I feel more feminine."

The 28-year-old fighter said she hopes positive body image will become more common for women in general.

"I want to see the standards that women hold themselves to change," she told the mag. "In terms of looks, I feel like we’re given an impossible standard to live up to.

"It should be more diverse and show that every single woman can attain an attractive body just by being as healthy as possible," she continued. "I don’t think that’s an impossible goal."

As for getting a concert shout-out from Beyonce (the "Flawless" singer played a body-positive audio clip from an interview with Ronda during a concert in September), Ronda told the mag, "That she would use my words is the highest compliment I could possibly be paid by somebody I respect."
