Megan Fox is the new girl on "New Girl"!
The "Transformers" actress has a recurring role on the hit comedy’s upcoming fifth season, Fox announced on Thursday.
According to a network statement, Megan will play Reagan, a "gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep" who moves in to the loft while Zooey Deschanel's lead character, Jess, is "sequestered" on jury duty.

"New Girl" creator Liz Meriwether said Megan was the actress she and her writing staff had hoped for when penning the role. The showrunner joked that Megan's comedy chops were initially disarming, considering her stunning looks.
"It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it," Liz said in a statement. "I've been a fan of her comedic skills since 'This is 40,' and I'm so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up."

The brunette beauty's guest arc is expertly timed. Zooey and her husband, Jacob Pechenki, wed this past summer and welcomed their first child, a girl, in August. Megan's role will kick off in the season's sixth episode. Liz previously told The Hollywood Reporter that Zooey won't appear in four episodes of Season 5.
Megan isn't the only fresh face joining the "New Girl" gang. Other celebrity appearances will include "SNL" alums Fred Armisen, Nasim Pedrad and Taran Killam, as well as Henry Winkler and "Star Trek's" John Cho.
"New Girl" returns to Fox in January 2016.
