‘Game of Thrones’ Casts House Tarly, Sam’s Family

Three new additions follow the casting of 'Unreal' star Freddie Stroma as the character's brother.

Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) may have lost his closest pal, but at least he's heading for a family reunion.

After HBO recently cast Unreal star Freddie Stroma to play the late Jon Snow's BFF on Game of Thrones, the network confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that actors are all set for the rest of the Tarly clan.

Downton Abbey actor James Faulkner is set for Sam's father, Randyll Tarly, while theater star Samantha Spiro will play mother Melessa Tarly and Rebecca Benson takes on the role of sister Talla.

All three follow Stroma's addition as brother Dickon.

Sam was last seen, having just lost his virginity and unaware of Jon Snow's fate at the hands of the night watch, heading out on his own to become a maester.
