Jessica Goldberg will develop new projects in addition to overseeing Hulu's 'The Way,' which she co-created with Jason Katims.

Universal Television is keeping Jessica Goldberg in house.

The studio has inked the Parenthood alum to a two-year overall deal, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Under the pact, Goldberg will develop new projects for Universal TV in addition to executive producing Hulu's straight-to-series drama The Way, which she co-created with Parenthood boss Jason Katims.

"Jessica Goldberg is an incredibly talented writer, and we’re thrilled to be in business with her at the studio,” Uni TV president Bela Bajaria said. "Her work on Parenthood was extraordinary and she created a new powerful drama, The Way, for Hulu that has attracted an A-list cast. We are excited to go into production today and look forward to great things to come."

Based on a script Katims and his True Jack head of development Michelle Lee created with Goldberg last year, The Way examines a family at the center of a controversial faith-based movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power. Each hourlong episode will take an in-depth look at what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want. The drama, which begins filming in October, stars Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul, True Detective's Michelle Monaghan and Hannibal's Hugh Dancy.

Goldberg joins Katims and Paul — who signed on to the series and scored a development pact as part of the deal — with overalls at the studio. She becomes the latest Katims disciple to land a development pact at Parenthood studio Uni TV, with Sarah Watson also set up at the studio.

Goldberg is repped by UTA and McKuin Frankel.
