Magic took center stage on part two of the “America’s Got Talent” season 10 finale on Wednesday with the return of winner Mat Franco and Penn & Teller joining finalist Piff The Magic Dragon. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Franco won season 9 about a year ago, becoming the first-ever magician to win in the history of the series. In addition to the $1 million prize, he scored his own headlining gig at the LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The run began last month, and he took time out now to return to Radio City Music Hall for this year’s live finale.
Now, after a magic trick by finalist Oz Perlman, Franco took the stage with another finalist, Derek Hughes. Together, they performed an illusion using pictures of celebrities. Piff then descended from the rafters and hung above the stage via a harness. He was joined by none other than Penn and Teller for a card trick that hilariously melded their unique comedy-magic styles.
As Gossip Cop also reported, Franco previously returned to the “AGT” stage in August, where he again delighted the judges and audience with a new trick. On Thursday, the rising star will have the spotlight all to himself when NBC airs his own special, called “Mat Franco’s Got Magic.” And if any of this season’s three magical acts win, they have a good chance of matching his success.
