CBS’ ‘Code Black’: Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzman Analyze Their Characters in 3 Promos (Exclusive Video)

One spot for the medical drama shows a touching moment between the two stars' characters.

CBS has debuted three new promos for its forthcoming medical drama Code Black, exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter. 

The spots showcase three of the show's stars — Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzman and Bonnie Sommerville — explaining what makes each of their characters unique.

"My character, Leanne Rorish, is the head of the resident program," Harden says. "She's good at what she does — she's tough, smart and she commands the room."

To hear Guzman discuss his senior ER nurse character Jesse Salander putting people in their place, and Sommerville explaining that her character, Dr. Christa Lorenson, is the oldest member of the resident program, watch the videos below. Harden's clip can be seen above.

Code Black, centering on the overworked staff of an L.A.-area hospital's emergency room, premieres Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
