Jaja Vankova “So You Think You Can Dance” Video: Watch Finale Performances!

Jaja So You Think You Can Dance Finale

(Fox)

Jaja Vankova once again proved to be one of the most mind-blowing “So You Think You Can Dance” contestants of all time when she competed in the season 10 performance finale on Monday. Check out the videos below!

Vankova, a returning contestant, managed to stay out of jeopardy for each and every elimination all season. It’s no surprise, as she continually demonstrated she could do more than just animation krump. And she managed to shine with both street and stage dances during her last chance to get America’s votes.

The contestant first joined Team Stage’s Hailee Payne for a hip-hop routine to open the live two-hour show. Paula Abdul said it was “neck for neck” and that they “complimented each other’s swagger.” Jason Derulo, too, thought they “married very well.” Vankova next had to perform a Spanish-infused jazz dance with Stage’s Gaby Diaz.

Derulo was impressed at how they showed “strength” with the lifts without any male assistance, but Nigel Lythgoe thought Vankova needed to “relax” in certain movements and not appear so “stiff.” She immediately had a chance for a comeback with fellow Street finalist Gadson, performing a moving contemporary routine. Lythgoe said that, at times, the lack of technique showed, but they as performers “outshined” that issue.

In the second hour, Vankova did what tWitch called “animation 3.0″ when she energetically and innovatively performed with All-Star Cyrus. The futuristic, mind-bending routine earned a standing ovation from Derulo, who so blown away that he felt exasperated. “Good luck, America,” he exclaimed. Interestingly, Lythgoe found himself a bit disappointed and let-down, and not surprisingly, was booed for his remarks.

Vankova ended by showing what she does “best”: performing her final krumping solo. And with that, she received a standing ovation from all three judges. After votes from this week and last week’s performance are tallied, Vankova will find out next week whether she or Street competitor Gadson or Team Stage dancers Diaz and Payne will be crowned the 2015 winner. Watch the performances below, and tell us if she has your vote!
