Both new episodes of the NBC sitcom rose two-tenths from premiere week.

It looks like NBC may have a new hit comedy on its hands.

The network's latest summer sitcom, The Carmichael Show, rose two-tenths in its second week. Wednesday's back-to-back new episodes averaged a solid 1.3 and 1.1 rating among adults 18-49.

The last time a summer comedy grabbed a 1.3 rating was when NBC's Undateable bowed in May 2014. That helped the series earn a season two renewal and a move to midseason – a promising sign for Carmichael.

Elsewhere on NBC, America's Got Talent (1.7 adults) and Last Comic Standing (1.1 adults) were even.

Big Brother was once again the night's highest-rated series (2.0 adults), followed by a steady Extant (0.7 adults) on CBS.

MasterChef (1.5 adults) was solid for Fox, and Home Free (1.0 adults) jumped two-tenths. ABC was even with its sole new offering, Celebrity Wife Swap (0.8 adults).

America's Next Top Model(0.4 adults) and A Wicked Offer (0.2 adults) were steady on The CW.
