Entertainment One Television is promoting Jeff Lynas.

The company's former senior vice president of operations and business development will transition into a COO position.

In his expanded role, Lynas is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations for eOne Television on a global basis. “I’ve had the privilege of working with Jeff for many years and I say with certainty that there’s no better person for the job,” said Morayniss. “He has been instrumental in the strategy development, growth and success of eOne Television, and was a key member of the leadership team of its predecessor Blueprint. Jeff is forward-thinking, understands the U.S. and international markets and plots how best to make it all work for our business.”

Added Lynas: “This is a very exciting time for eOne Television and I’m delighted to take on this new role. We’re now working with so many of the most talented creative and well-regarded producers in the world and we’re looking at ways to further grow and strengthen our original pipeline and distribution infrastructure to bring more opportunities to those partners. eOne has grown exponentially over the last several years, and the best is yet to come.”

Lynas joined eOne back in Sept. 2008 when the company acquired Blueprint Entertainment, where he served as senior vice president. Prior to to the acquisition, Lynas played a key role in establishing the business in the U.S. and building relationships with producers and broadcasters. Previously, he served as vice president of US Sales at Alliance Atlantis, where he oversaw the sales of the company’s extensive library to U.S. broadcast and cable networks, as well as home entertainment.
