Chicago P.D. fans were shocked when Lindsay (Sophia Bush) quit the force at the end of season two. But it won't be long before she jumps back into action (at least temporarily) to save her former partner and on-and-off love interest in need.
In the new promo for the season three premiere released Tuesday, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) is abducted and his captors demand a female officer to go in alone to save him. Of course, it's none other than Lindsay who volunteers. But as the footage shows, things take a turn for the worse very quickly.
Bush previewed Lindsay's return to the squad in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month. "The day that she comes back to help is a hell of a day," she said. "It's the first time since Nadia's death that she's felt at her center again, and that makes her question what she's been doing and why she's given up."
