Taylor Swift did not “freak out” when Kanye West went off script while accepting the Video Vanguard Award at Sunday’s VMAs, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this story. We’re told there’s absolutely no truth to it.
As Gossip Cop reported, Swift presented West with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the awards ceremony. What made it, of course, particularly surprising was that six years earlier, West crashed the stage and interrupted Swift while she was accepting her “Best Female Video” award. You’ll recall the rapper grabbed the mic from Swift and declared that Beyonce deserved the statue, leaving the then-country singer in shock.
Following several years of being considered enemies, all is now good between Swift and West, as evidenced by her helping to honor him at the VMAs. However, RadarOnline used that occasion to manufacture a tale about Swift beginning to “panic” while West went off script and made references about running for president in 2020. “They had agreed to his talking points as part of the agreement of her presenting the award,” a so-called “insider” tells the webloid, adding “And then he went ‘in a whole different direction.’”
The blog goes on and on about how Swift also tried to put “distance” between herself and Kim Kardashian, but it’s all untrue. First off, it doesn’t even makes sense. West never rehearsed his acceptance speech before the show, and he most certainly didn’t reveal to Swift what he had planned on saying, much less had an “agreement” with her about approved topics. Regardless, a source involved in the VMAs’ production assures Gossip Cop the webloid’s story is completely “false.”
