Justin Bieber’s highly-anticipated new single “What Do You Mean?” finally premiered on Friday. Listen below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber first announced the new song during an interview with Ryan Seacrest late last month. In the 30 days since then, the singer has been holding a daily countdown to the release. Bieber enlisted dozens of celebrity friends to post their own “What Do You Mean?” photos and videos on social media, with stars ranging from Britney Spears to Tony Hawk.
Bieber explained the song’s title during his chat with Seacrest, saying, “Girls are often flip-floppy. They say something and they mean something else. So… what do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking.” He further teased that it would be “uptempo” and “summery,” and noted that it was produced by Poo Bear, who worked with Bieber on “Where Are U Now.”
Poo Bear has also been one of Bieber’s main collaborators for his upcoming album, which is expected to be released on November 18. The star, though, has yet to confirm that date, or reveal the record’s title. Bieber will give his first live performance of “What Do You Mean?” at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, and Gossip Cop will have full coverage.
