Taylor Swift is not “jealous” or in a “mean girl rage” after her friend Selena Gomez exchanged sweet tweets last week with Demi Lovato, despite an entirely absurd story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this nonsense. A source, who’s actually close to both Swift and Gomez, tells us the claim is “stupid” and “untrue.”
Well, according to the often unreliable Celeb Dirty Laundry, Swift was “not happy at the thought of Selena sharing her affection with another singer. [Lovato].” The webloid claims, Swift “seems to want Selena all to herself or not at all.” The site then has a woefully ill-informed source quoted as saying, “Taylor wants to be everyone’s BFF, and she freaks out if she is not the most important person in each of her friends’ lives. She won’t ever confront them though, when Taylor is mad at you, you will know.” The seemingly fake source adds that Swift “goes out of her way to exclude you” because she gets “jealous” and has a “mean girl rage.”
Of course, the story on its face value is a completely ridiculous, as witnessed by how chummy the two women were on Wednesday night when Swift had the Gomez perform her song “Good For You” at her sold-out 1989 concert at the Staples Center in L.A. As Gossip Cop reported, Swift called her friend a “multi-talented performer, who is good at everything she does.” The pals also had their arms around each other during the performance. Regardless, Gossip Cop actually checked with a real mutual friend of two women, and we’re exclusively told the fabricated CDL story is “stupid” and “untrue.”
