The Biggest Loser is losing a familiar face.
Host Alison Sweeney is departing the NBC reality competition after 13 seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
“After an incredible run together, Alison Sweeney will not be returning as host of The Biggest Loser next season,” the show's producers said in a statement.
Sweeney, who also stars on the network's daytime soap Days of Our Lives, has hosted The Biggest Loser since 2007. She succeeded comedian Caroline Rhea, who hosted the first three seasons of the show. (The Biggest Loser aired two seasons a year from 2008 to 2011.)
No replacement has been named for season 17, which does not yet have a premiere date.
Longtime trainer Jillian Michaels left the show ahead of the show's most recent season – marking her third exit from the program. She was replaced by new trainers Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom, who joined returning cast members Bob Harper andDolvett Quince.
The Biggest Loser hails from executive producer Eden Gaha and is produced by Endemol Shine North America..
The Biggest Loser has been a reliable ratings performer for the network since it's premiere. NBC recently ordered a new fitness-focused reality series from Biggest Loser creator Dave Broome titled S.T.R.O.N.G. (Start to Realize Our Natural Greatness).
