The superstar singer opened up about husband, Rene Angelil, and his battle with throat cancer as she prepares to return to her Las Vegas show on August 27.
"I didn't want to be here at first, I don't need it. Don't get me wrong, I love singing for people, but I have priorities," Celine said in a new interview with USA Today. "But… I think I've got this. For now. When it hits me, it's going to hit me. But my biggest job is to tell my husband, we're fine. I'll take care of our kids. You'll watch us from another spot."

Celine, who lovingly refers to Rene as "the only boyfriend I've ever had," revealed that her ailing husband has been fed intravenously for the past two years, as the cancer has left him unable to talk or swallow.
While the singer attempts to maintain a strong front, she admitted Rene sometimes "needs something more sensitive."
"I'll say, 'You're scared? I understand. Talk to me about it,'" Celine said. "And Rene says to me, 'I want to die in your arms.' OK, fine, I'll be there, you'll die in my arms.'"

The Grammy winner said watching Rene suffer has been difficult for their 14-year-old son, Rene-Charles, but that their 4-year-old twin boys, Nelson and Eddy, "don't know their father in any other state."
"I'll say 'Come on, let's go feed Dad,' and they'll come along with me," she said.
As for Rene's prognosis, Celine said doctors haven't bene able to give them a time frame.
"We have asked many times, how long does he have, three weeks, three months? René wants to know," she said. "But they say they don't know."
