VH1 Orders ‘Couples Therapy’ Spinoff to Series (Exclusive)

 VH1 is serving up more couch time.

The cable network has ordered the Couples Therapy spinoff Family Therapy to series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Family Therapy With Dr. Jenn will shine the light on five celebrity families at various crossroads as they undergo three weeks of intensive family therapy to work out their differences. Everyone will participate in individual and group counseling as well as relationship exercises with relationship and family therapy Dr. Jenn Mann to see if their damaged relationships can be rebuilt.

Participants include celebrity exes Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan, Teen Mom alum Briana Dejesus and her sister Brittany Dejesus, Jackass' Bam Margera and his mom April Margera, I Love New York's Tiffany "New York" Pollard and her mom Sister Patterson, and entrepreneur Damon Dash and his brothers Jeremy Dash and Bobby Dash.

Production started on Monday and the series is set to premiere in early 2016.

Irwin Entertainment's (Couples Therapy, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew) John Irwin, Damian Sullivan and Tim Eagan will exec produce with Mann and VH1's Susan Levison, Jill Holmes and Fernando Mills.

The series order continues the lucrative relationship between VH1 and Irwin Entertainment, which stems back to 2008 and also includes Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew, Sober House and Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project. Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn has been a stable performer for the network since its 2012 debut. Season six premieres in October.

In addition to her appearances on Couples Therapy, Mann is the author of three national bestsellers and hosts the popular Sirius XM radio show "The Dr. Jenn Show."
