The 26-year-old donned her full superhero gear for the occasion, of course, and her new sidekicks happily followed suit.

"The Super Girl Scouts of Oklahoma dropped by National City today," Melissa captioned her first pic, showing off the red capes her mini squad draped over their Daisy uniforms. The girls all raised their fists in true Supergirl fashion to complete the look.

"I'm pretty sure we had a good time," the actress wrote alongside another shot, this time kneeling down to join the Scouts in a big group hug.

Melting hearts isn't this crew's only super power.

The troop is doing far more than playing dress up -- they've already been recognized for their heroism.

The Girl Scout Blog reports the girls were honored at the White House Science Fair in March for creating a LEGO-based, battery-powered page turner for people suffering from mobility issues. Even President Obama was impressed, reportedly calling the device and its inventors "awesome."

According to Melissa, the youngsters' accomplishments and enthusiasm are a reflection of what "Supergirl" is all about. The actress spoke with Access Hollywood at San Diego Comic-Con in July about why viewers are ready for a female-driven superhero series with a big heart.

"It's just high time. [Supergirl] speaks for hope and bravery and positivity and kindness, and shows that you can be strong without hurting people and without aggression and force," Melissa said. "And I just think the message is so clear and pure … It's time for something like that. Some clarity and some positivity."

"Supergirl" premiers Oct. 26 at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS.
