Taylor Swift and Hillary Clinton are not throwing a massive concert to raise funds for Clinton’s presidential candidacy, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s simply untrue.

A so-called “insider” tells Star, “Taylor and Hillary are planning to collaborate on a massive fund-raising concert later this Fall.” The supposed “source,” who calls Swift a “feminist,” then presumptuously asserts that “Hillary needs someone as influential as Taylor in her corner.”

In an effort to cover itself when the “massive fund-raising concert” doesn’t happen, the tabloid floats that while some people in Swift’s camp are concerned her political agenda could cause fan backlash, most of her advisers think the concert would be a rousing success.

“Taylor’s massive fan base will undoubtedly help Hillary’s chances of becoming the first woman President,” claims the insider, who somehow doesn’t know she’s leading every poll and raising millions upon million of dollars every week. “Taylor couldn’t think of anything more exciting than to be part of world history,” adds the tabloid’s bogus “insider.”

Gossip Cop checked in with sources close to Swift, and we’re told there are no plans to collaborate with Clinton on a fundraiser. Irrespective, we suspect Clinton will continue to add to her massive war chest, even without Swift’s help.
