Michael Clifford opened up about his struggles with mental health during a 5 Seconds of Summer concert in Detroit on Wednesday. His candid remarks, which were caught on video, have since gone viral and led to the trending topic “#WeLoveYouMichael.”

The Australian band, which is currently traveling across the U.S. on its “Rock Out With Your Socks Out” tour, recently took some time off. Alluding to that, Clifford told the crowd of 20,000-plus fans in Michigan that during the hiatus he was “fixing some problems with my mental health.” Clifford added, “I just saw a therapist real quick on the break we had.”

A fan, who was at Wednesday’s concert, later posted a Twitter video of Clifford being extremely forthright, along with the caption, “Here’s a video of Michael talking about his mental health problems last night. So proud of him. #WeLoveYouMichael.” Since then, Clifford’s fans have been flooding social media with words of encouragement.
