“Empire” stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will perform “Hard Out Here for a Pimp” on the season finale of “Lip Sync Battle” on Thursday. Their collaboration will mark the first time two competitors on the show sing a duet together. Watch a teaser clip below!

“Hard Out Here for a Pimp” is an original track from Howard and Henson’s 2005 movie Hustle & Flow. The actors performed the song in the film, while the official soundtrack version was performed by Three 6 Mafia and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Henson also joined Three 6 Mafia on stage at the 2006 Oscars for a live performance of the beat.

The season finale of “Lip Sync Battle,” however, won’t be completely nostalgic and sentimental. As Gossip Cop previously reported, Henson and Howard will go to battle as well, with him taking on The Commodores “Brick House, and her belting out Mary J. Blige’s “Just Fine.” Blige herself will also make a cameo to help Henson perform the song.

The season finale of “Lip Sync Battle” airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on Spike, and the show has already been renewed for a second season. Watch a promo video below of Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard performing “Hard Out Here for a Pimp,” and tell us what you think.
