Little Mix performed its new single “Black Magic” during Sunday’s 2015 Teen Choice Awards. It marked the first time the U.K. girl group sang the new hit on television. Watch the video below!
Just as they appeared on the red (actually blue) carpet, Little Mix took the stage wearing “nerdy” costumes. But part-way into the song about secret potions, the girls “magically” changed into hot, stylish, skin-baring ensembles. And, as fans know, it was essentially bring the song’s music video to life.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Perrie Edwards and the rest of Little Mix went into the night nominated for five Teen Choice Awards: “Choice Music Group (Female),” “Choice International Artist,” “Choice Music Breakout Artist,” “Choice Summer Music Star (Group),” and “Choice Love Song.” It was announced, however, that they won “Breakout Artist.”
The group is on a hot streak right now, promoting “Black Magic” in the U.S. as it rises up the charts in the U.K. Hours before the Teen Choice Awards, Little Mix joined Taylor Swift onstage during her “1989 World Tour” concert in Santa Clara, California on Saturday night. As noted by Gossip Cop, Swift collaborated with the British singers to perform “Black Magic” before 50,000 screaming fans.
Next up: The “Today” show! Little Mix will be in New York City on Wednesday for the Toyota Summer Concert Series. Clearly, they’ve come a long way from their Teen Choice Awards debut in 2013, when the group presented the “Trendsetter Award” to Miley Cyrus. Check out the full performance of “Black Magic” below!
