Salma Hayek has gotten a restraining order against two women who allegedly threatened to kidnap and hold for ransom her seven-year-old daughter Valentina. The actress also claims in court papers that the two “mentally disturbed” women have been going around town pretending to be her.

Hayek reportedly saw an email written by one of the women that stated, “I know where her daughter will be. How much is her life worth?” It’s unclear who this message was sent to or how Hayek obtained it, but the email obviously spooked the actress into taking action. Hayek filed for a restraining order, which a judge granted, and the two unidentified women were subsequently ordered to stay 100 yards away from Hayek, her daughter, and her husband, reports TMZ.

As Gossip Cop has noted, Hayek is married to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, who reportedly contributes $50,000-a-month into a trust for their daughter. Hayek separated from the businessman in 2006, but later reconciled. She gave birth to Valentina in 2007, and the two have remained a couple ever since.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for the actress for more details surrounding her obtaining the restraining order. A court date has been scheduled for September to determine whether the restraining order will become permanent.
