Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are NOT in “deep relationship trouble,” despite a new In Touch report claiming the coupe is “on the brink of divorce.” Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.
According to the outlet’s so-called “insider,” Richie and Madden “have been at odds over everything,” including how to raise their children Harlow and Sparrow. The In Touch source says, “They’ve been spending more time apart because all they do is fight when they’re together. Nicole can be very forceful when she doesn’t get her way, and Joel doesn’t respond well to that.”
“For example, Nicole’s been on a health kick and wants the kids on the same diet,” explains the tabloid’s insider. “But when Joel’s around, he lets them have candy and juice boxes and whatever they want — it makes her furious.” This know-it-all source continues, “If it wasn’t for the kids, they’d be divorced already. Nicole’s trying to hang on for their sake, but she’s at her breaking point.”
Uh-huh. Is this anything like when In Touch claimed Richie and Madden were having “marriage woes” back in 2012? Or when the same magazine insisted Richie and Madden’s relationship was “on the rocks” in 2013? Year after year, In Touch runs the same basic story, and it’s always WRONG. A source close to the situation exclusively tells Gossip Cop there’s no truth to the latest version of the report.
