Beyonce and Rihanna are NOT locked in a “battle of the divas,” contrary to a new Life & Style report claiming the two stars are warring behind the scenes despite public friendliness. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.
According to the tabloid, Beyonce and Rihanna “played nice” while posing together at the launch event for Jay Z’s new Tidal music streaming service, but “behind the scenes, [they’re] locked in a bitter battle over who really runs the music world.” Oh, really?
“They’ve never been close, but it’s gotten much worse over the past year,” a so-called “insider” tells the outlet. “They can barely stand to be in the same room together.” Life & Style says Beyonce was “not happy” when both singers debuted songs on Tidal on the same day. “Beyonce wanted her single to make a big splash when it debuted and didn’t want to share the spotlight with Rihanna,” explains the magazine’s source.
Life & Style says Beyonce is seeking revenge. “Rihanna is trying to renegotiate her contract with Roc Nation and she believes Beyonce is the reason why she’s being lowballed,” claims the outlet’s insider. “Rihanna feels like putting up with Beyonce is part of her job and she’s sick of it.”
And we’re getting sick of having to bust Life & Style for this nonsense. Last month, the magazine floated an equally ridiculous story about Beyonce’s supposed “hatred” for Rihanna, and this is just more of the same sensational garbage.
